Here are some resources for you:
For TRANSPORTATION:
Ways to Work
(866) 252-7171
web site: www.waystowork.org
They provide loans to low-income parents who cannot get loans elsewhere.
The purpose of the loan is to help family memhbers pay for unexpected expenses that could interfere with their ability to keep a job or stay in school.
About 95% of all Ways to Work loans are made for the purchse of used vehicles.
For FOOD:
Angel Food Ministries
(888) 819-3745
web site: www.angelfoodministries.com
They provide families with approximately $65 worth of quality nutritious food, both frozen and fresh items, for $30. The sales and distribution are handles by church host sites.
Each $30 "box" of food is enough to feed a family of 4 for about a wee. You can get as many "boxes" as you like. There is no "qualifying". Anybody and everybody qualifies. The food is very good.
Many churches also have "food banks" or "food pantries". Any local church might be able to tell you where they are in your area. There is typically no cost for this help.
For UTILITY BILLS:
LIHEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program
(866) 674-6327
